C.J. Christian (b. 1990) is a contemporary sculptor and mixed media painter whose work investigates the metaphysical and philosophical dimensions of modern existence. A graduate of the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, where he studied Sculpture and Fine Arts, Christian’s practice spans painting, assemblage, and installation — rooted in a fascination with epistemology, metaphysics, and the aesthetics of subculture.
Working at the intersection of post-internet art and hand-painted, large-scale works, Christian explores how physical material and digital culture shape contemporary human experience. His art combines found materials, layered surfaces, and painterly textures to evoke both chaos and structure — a reflection of the tension between the tangible and the conceptual.
Influenced by hardcore punk, graffiti, and underground movements, Christian’s approach to fine art is as much philosophical as it is visceral. His sculptures and paintings are contemporary meditations on meaning, permanence, and the fragility of perception. Each piece functions as a dialogue between material and mind — where texture becomes language and form becomes inquiry.
Christian aims to exhibit his work in modern art galleries that champion experimental, thought-driven, and boundary-pushing art. His goal is to expand the conversation between modern sculpture, metaphysical thought, and post-digital culture, positioning his portfolio within the evolving landscape of contemporary fine art.
Christian enjoys Reading, Painting, Japenese Joinery, Carpentry, His Daughter Louella, Philosophy, St. Thomas Aquinas, his wife, and Gore Tex.
